Starting Week 1 in Term 1 2024, teachers will be able to use the following new features and enhancements:  


Enhancement: Literacy and Numeracy Precursors - Progression Indicators 


  • Progression indicators have been revised in the Literacy and Numeracy Precursors app, based on psychometric feedback. 
  • The data entry fields will be empty for the revised indicators. Observations for the earlier version of the indicator will be displayed in the observation history. The count will show the number of earlier modifications for the corresponding indicator, by clicking on the count you will be able to see the old indicator description and numbering.

New feature: PLAN2 Indicator progress - Summary section export

Indicator progress analysis (BETA) has replaced the Student indicator progress analysis functions. 

Users can now:

  • Export the Indicator progress analysis to word. The summary section provides a snapshot and summary of a group of students.  
  • Review the total number of students' or indicators within student status movement (up, down, none) and across observation statuses 
  • Compare different observation sources and contexts (Teachers / assessments) 
  • Learn more about the Indicator progress analysis (BETA).




Year 1 Phonics Screening Check NSW state data is now available 


  • The Year 1 Phonics Screening Check 2023 NSW state data is now available.
  • The data shows the average number of items correct for your school and the state and percentage meeting expected score (28 or higher) for your school and the state. This is determined by comparing the Total participants to the Count of participants meeting the expected score. Students are considered to have met the expected academic achievement score if they correctly answered 28 or more items.
  • To view the results, please go to the Student Assessment Analysis app and select the following fields: 
    • Assessment: Year 1 Phonics Screening Check 
    • Analysis: School Trends
    • Date assessed: 2023
    • Click Search
