Assessments can be assigned to students from the Assessment details page.

Selecting an assessment and students

  1. Open Online assessments
  2. Select Find new assessments
  3. Select the assessment you wish to assign.
  4. Select Assign to students.
  5. Use the Year and Class dropdown menus to view a cohort of students.
  6. Select one or more students.
    Use Select all in the bar above student names to assign the assessment to the entire cohort.


The magnifying glass icon provides filtering options to help with large cohorts.


Assign now

Select Assign now to assign the assessment to students with an immediate start time.

A success message will display.

The Copy link button copies the student link which can then be shared with students.

 

Assign later

Setting an assessment to start later allows students to see that an assessment has been assigned, but they are unable to complete the assessment until the start date and time.


  1. Select Assign later to specify a start and end time for the assessment to be completed.
    NOTE: The default start time is ‘Start immediately’ and the default end time is ‘End of term’.
  2. Select on Start immediately to open the date selector and choose a future date, then set the time you would like students to be able to begin. Repeat this process to set an end date and time.
  3. After selecting a start and end date and time, select Done to assign the assessment.

 

Assign post-test from an existing pre-test session

Sets that have both a pre-test and a post-test allow teachers to easily assign the matching post-test to the same students from a corresponding pre-test.

  1. Navigate to the existing pre-test session. 
  2. Select Assign post-test from the existing session.
  3. This will open the Assign to students page for the related post-test and have the same students automatically pre-selected for you.
  4. Select Assign now to complete process.
