Assessing Literacy and Numeracy (ALAN) is a suite of online tools designed by the NSW Department of Education to support the use of literacy and numeracy learning progressions in all NSW schools.
ALAN apps are available to all DoE schools, they include:

- Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
- IfSR-Number and place value
- IfSR-Multiplicative thinking
- IfSR-Additive thinking
- IfSR-Proportional thinking
- Phonological awareness diagnostic
- Phonics diagnostic assessment
- Passport for learning
- Literacy and Numeracy Precursors
- Student assessment analysis
